Quick answer

Pest control in Weber County covers Ogden, Roy, North Ogden and the rest of the county from our Clearfield office. Local knowledge

Rivers, old neighborhoods and benches

Weber County centers on Ogden, where historic neighborhoods have older foundations, basements and brick homes that give spiders, mice and earwigs plenty of ways in. North and east of downtown, homes climb onto the benches below the mountains, where wasps, rock squirrels and the occasional bat are more common.

The Weber and Ogden rivers run through the county, and in high-water years they feed big mosquito hatches. Roy, Riverdale and the west side have more newer subdivisions and open land, which brings voles, gophers and field mice.

Our Clearfield office sits just south of the county line, so Weber County calls are a short drive.

Local conditions

River years and bat season

High water on the Weber and Ogden rivers in 2005 set off an Aedes mosquito surge across Weber County, and nearby marshlands hatched adults that reached towns within days. Bats are the other Weber County story: in summer 2022 the state confirmed rabid bats in Weber County and Salt Lake County, each involving contact with a person or pet. Health officials say about 15 rabid animals are found in Utah each year, so a bat in the attic is worth a call.

Wet springs are the years to plan yard mosquito treatments early.
